At the invitation of Dr. Markéta Janovská, a lecture "Chronic Oral Lesions" will take place on Tuesday 26 September 2023 at 2PM in the large lecture hall of the Dental Clinic. The lecture will be held by Dr. Nathaniel S. Treister, one of the world's most demanded speakers in the field of oral medicine.
Dr. Treister, a graduate of the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, is a long-time chief in the Division of Oral Medicine and Dentistry at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He is also extensively involved in teaching medical students and residents at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and is a member of several world-renowned task forces (selectively the MASCC/ISOO Mucositis Guidelines Leadership Group). The academic reputation of Dr. Treister has led, among other things, to his appointment as the President of the American Academy of Oral Medicine (2022-2023). Dr. Treister's main areas of expertise include oral mucositis and mucosal manifestations of graft versus host reaction, but he is involved in the therapy of oral symptoms of immune and autoimmune diseases as well.
