The Cancer Centre provides the following procedures: comprehensive examinations, determination of therapeutic procedures, suitable rehabilitation and follow-up care of patients with tumour diseases of the mouth and face. Specialist consultation services are also provided. The Centre cooperates closely with the other centres of the Department, other facilities of VFN, and other therapeutic centres in the Czech Republic.

This Centre examines patients who are interested in dental implants. The presence of an eminent surgeon and prosthetic specialist ensures a comprehensive approach towards the issue. The Centre cooperates closely with the other facilities of the Department and VFN, for example to solve large facial defects with epithesis fixed to intraosseous implants.

This Centre proposes treatment of large facial defects of various etiologies, primarily after radical cancer surgery, and coordinates the subsequent reconstructive care by using plastic prosthetic devices - epithesis. It cooperates closely with the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery and Implantology Centre.

The Centre provides examination, diagnosis, and treatment plans for the temporomandibular joints in cooperation with a maxillofacial surgeon and specialists in dental prosthetics. The Centre cooperates with other clinics in the Department and other facilities of VFN.

The Centre manages the issues of poorly treatable and untreatable children. After the examination and determination of the diagnosis, the Centre determines the optimal treatment under analgesia or general anesthesia. Referrals from the patient's dentist, pediatrician, or another specialist are required.

The Centre deals with the indications for reconstructive microsurgery in the therapy of congenital, acquired, or post-operative deformities and defects of the face. It provides special consultation services for the entire Czech Republic.

The Centre provides examination and diagnosis of congenital and acquired defects of the face in cooperation with the orthodontic clinics of the Department. It determines the optimal methods of treatment and post-operative rehabilitation. It cooperates closely with the Sleep Lab of the Department of Neurology, First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and VFN Prague in the surgical treatment of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.

The Centre provides examination and diagnosis and determines indications for the treatment of facial skin diseases, primarily tumours. It cooperates closely with the Centre for Pigmented Nevi and Melanoma, Department of Dermatology, VFN and with the Photomedicine Centre.

The Centre deals with research into, and the use of, lasers and similar technologies in medicine. It specialises in the treatment of malignant and benign tumours in dental medicine, ENT, and dermatovenerology. Specialists from these fields use the Centre together.
